Help understand log entries

Hello All, Could some one help me decode a log entry in Observium? Device Storage graphs draw errors when in widescreen mode

Hi, I have noticed an issue with the device filesystems graphs : they do not display correctly in widescreen mode. The RRD command/debug says : RRDTool Output: ERROR: Legend too long But if I paste the actual rrd command in the terminal, it runs fine and the output graph is correct too. It seems to be only happening with the filesystems usage graphs. I think something similar was reported on Jira but it didn't went far : http://jira.observium.org/browse/OBSERVIUM-1248 You can find attached screenshots of the issue. For the record I am using : Observium CE 0.15.6.6430 OS Linux 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 [amd64] (CentOS 6.2) Apache 2.2.15 (CentOS) PHP 5.3.3 Python Python 2.6.6 MySQL 5.1.73 SNMP NET-SNMP 5.5 RRDtool 1.4.9 Best regards, Louis

What triggers the 'device rebooted' alert?

I am showing a device reboot alert but the uptime is shown to be over a year. The reboot is reported to happen last night precisely at midnight. Observium Alerting SMSGlobal Integration

Hi All, We are looking to do more with alerting and get some form of SMS Alerting happening. We currently use SMS Global for our SMS Gateway both via API and Email > SMS. Has anyone done any wizardry around some SMS Gateway API integration in to Observium? The failed port filter is broken after update to 6535

Hello there, after I upgraded to 6535, I noticed that the "ports down" filter doesn't work anymore. I have a couple of ports down at the moment, in the status box. But if I click on that red 2, then I get all ports down in the network, including the ignored ones. But I actually have a second issue too. I also noticed that if I make an account for a customer, with restricted access to their ports only, observium will still show them the global regex for the alerting systems, but also forbidden menu items, such as the groups, which give the normal users access to too sensitive information. It looks like the permission filtering in the alerts box is not really working the same way as in the status box on the left, same happens in the menus on top. I had to remove the groups in order to preserve our customers privacy, even though I found them very useful. Is there an available solution for the above already? Special sysLocation character not displaying properly

Hey Observium team, Some of our SNMP sysLocations aren't being displayed properly. The " é " is being displayed as " Ã© ". Is there a way I can tell php to use UTF8, or some other codec that will fix this? Thanks. Benoit Lambert Network Analyst @ NorthernTel

We have a production and test server. Both are affected. There must be a global php to set the character encoding? We're using Centos 6.6 and PHP 5.3.3.

Small Community Edition update

I just pushed out another CE tar. It fixes a tiny HTML issue with eventlog rendering on the device page. It's super annoying, so you should update!
