Front page 'boxes' layout.
by Adam Armstrong 17 May '13

17 May '13

I've just re-added the old boxes status display to the front page. http://alpha.memetic.org/~adama/snaps/p64g472tda.png You can enable it by adding the new type, "device_status_boxes" to the $config['frontpage']['order'] array. adam.

Esxi/5 does SNMP, but its broken these days. They removed a lot of data and counters. Adam. Problems with rancid.
by Thomas Raabo - Zitcom A/S 17 May '13

Did this... //Rancid $config['rancid_configs'][] = '/usr/local/rancid/var/switches/configs/'; $config['rancid_configs'][] = '/usr/local/rancid/var/routers/configs/'; $config['rancid_suffix'] = 'network.zitcom.dk'; // Domain suffix for non-FQDN device names $config['rancid_ignorecomments'] = 0; // Ignore lines starting with # But I don't see a tag with rancid configs...? [root@mgmt3 observium]# ls -l /usr/local/rancid/var/routers/configs/ total 60 drwxr-xr-x 2 rancid apache 4096 May 15 12:59 CVS -rw-r----- 1 rancid apache 25590 May 15 12:59 sv-e-rt-1 -rw-r----- 1 rancid apache 25973 May 15 12:59 sv-e-rt-2 The configs are there.. Re: [Observium] OS Detection

Mac OS isnt a Linux distro... And the apple logo is used for airports for example. How is it being detected now? Sent from my mobile, please excuse brevity and spelling errors. ----- Reply message ----- From: "Todd Kline" <tkline(a)horizonhobby.com> To: <observium(a)observium.org> Subject: [Observium] OS Detection Date: Wed, May 15, 2013 18:48 Hi All I have a few OSX servers and their OS is not detected. I looked in the distro script and see that it does not try to detect OSX. I did see an apple.png file in the images/os directory, so this make me wonder if anyone else has had success in OSX detection? Thanks Todd _______________________________________________ observium mailing list observium(a)observium.org http://postman.memetic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/observium

SQL Server
by Paulo Del Rio 16 May '13

16 May '13

Hello, I don't know if this is the best place to ask this but... Is it possible to integrate Observium with SQL Server? In my company we have a MS SQL server team managing the DB's but no MYSQL experts. If the integration with SQL Server is supported, I prefer that the correct team manages that DB. If not, is that integration in the roadmap? Best regards Paulo Rio

We have no ability to provide anything other than mysql support in observium for the same reason. We're all mysql users! Adam. Syslog
by Paulo Del Rio 15 May '13

15 May '13

Hello, I have started using observium and liked it a lot. In syslog, I would propose a new option of searching for traps with a option to add a NOT, expecially in the priorities search. Example: All traps NOT informational.
