I recently updated to Observium CE 26.1.14545. Since the update, I am no longer receiving email alerts. I selected an alert from the dashboard (4354) and ran ./test_alert.php -a 4354. No longer have SVN access

Hi guys, We have the Enterprise license and installed an Observium poller right after the main installation. Unfortunately, we can’t install any more poller instances because SVN access is no longer available. Is there perhaps a workaround, or any explanation as to why SVN access is no longer available? Fix for hdarray

We have continued to have an issue where PERC controller status is flagged as failed on pretty much all our Poweredge Rx20, Rx30, Rx40, Rx50, Rx60 servers. We finally got to the bottom of it today. Please can the following be corrected. Root Cause: perccli64 requires an open stdin to function correctly. When it runs with stdin closed (<&-), it returns Status = Failure instead of querying the controller. The Observium agent script closes stdin as a security measure (exec <&- 2>/dev/null) before running all local scripts, so every time the agent ran our hdarray script via the socket, perccli silently failed. The Fix: Add </dev/null to all four perccli calls in the hdarray script so the binary gets a valid (empty) stdin rather than a closed file descriptor: $CLI show nolog </dev/null 2>/dev/null $CLI /c${ctrl} show nolog > $RAID 2>&1 </dev/null $CLI /c${ctrl}/vall show nolog > $RAID 2>&1 </dev/null $CLI /c${ctrl}/eall/sall show nolog > $RAID 2>&1 </dev/null What made this so hard to diagnose: The script worked perfectly in every direct test (setsid, bash -x, env -i, running as root via ssh) because all those methods leave stdin open. We run a number of machines with nvidia GPU cards and notice that when the load is reported at 0% - which can happen when the machine is idle - its flagged as critical in Observium. Adding new OS to central but still getting generic

Hello, I'm trying some thing. First I have a Central Observium server hosting the DB and graphs. My devices are polled via another Debian-poller who's the only one talking to central observium. Hi, i was wondering if anyone in the community has any experience with using this snmp agent on windows servers? I am frustrated (like we all are) with Microsoft's lack of snmpv3 support as well as some notable omissions from their native snmp agent (for example, lack of mounted volume support as well as service visibility). hi, I am hoping someone can give me some suggestions on how to alert when my Cisco router's interface is up/up but the other side is not responding. I just discovered that I have been running on a backup line for a while at one site and did not know it because the primary link did not go "down" is there anything I can do with monitoring eigrp peers etc. It did occur to me that if I set up an sla on the router, I might be able to leverage that, but I would like a solution that did not involve more config on the router. thanks in advance

Dear, Can you assist me with a problem, I have broken myself? If have smokeping running and wanted to change the name 'localhost' to my machine name within the ping graphs. No the third graph is broken. Seems normal to change it back, but don't know anymore where to look. It is a Ubuntu 24.04 install. Can anyone give me a couple of hints? Webhook alerts and access to alert graph

Hello all, I am integrating Observium alerts with a Matrix notification service and would like the Matrix message to include the alert graph, similar to the standard email alert. While looking at the email transport code, I noticed that it already receives a prepared $context['graphs'] structure. Each graph contains fields such as type, url, and data, and the email transport simply embeds the rendered graph image from that data. With webhook alerts, however, the JSON payload does not appear to include this graph information. Reconstructing the correct graph from the available webhook fields is difficult because the graph type and parameters are not always obvious. Would it be possible for webhook transports to expose the same graph context that is already available to the email transport (for example, the graphs[] array or at least the graph URL? That would make it much easier to integrate Observium alerts with systems such as Matrix or Slack while preserving the graph context included in email alerts. Script environment variable OBSERVIUM_DURATION always 0s

hi, another issue i am finding with script variables is OBSERVIUM_DURATION. i am including in script notifications but it always reports as 0s (current date). so in other words, the duration of the alert is always reported to be 0s. this seems like a bug as well?? should i put in a ticket for this also? thanks again for all your help!

Hi Team since I've upgraded to Observium CE 26.1.14545, my Telegram notifications stoped working. ./test_alert.php -d -c <contact_id> works and it sends a test message which is also received by Telegram, but ./test_alert.php -d -a <alert_entry> gives an error (in which it among other thing says: "Oops! Something went wrong! You may want to report this to the Observium developers.") The log is attached Sincerely

hi, i am using a custom script for my alert notification and i use some of the environment variables defined here: https://docs.observium.org/alerting_transports/#script recently i noticed that the environment variable OBSERVIUM_TIMESTAMP returns null. this seems like a bug...is it? should i report it in Jira?
